Incipio Watson Wallet Folio with Removable Cover Case – Review

Incipio Watson Wallet Folio Case Review - Tech We Like - Cruz - Open Case 1
If you're looking for a case that doubles as a wallet, check out the Incipio Watson Wallet Folio case. All the details in our review.

If you’ve read any of my other reviews, you already know what my phone situation is like, what my bag situation is like, and what my accessories situation is like. They’re pretty much excessive.I use different accessories for different situations. I have a case that’s great for texting, one for nights out and one to protect my phone from water and dust.

I have another great case to add to the list. I suggested it as one of the cases to get for your HTC One M8. But they are available for many of the flagship phones out there. Its the Incipio Watson Wallet Folio Case.

Looks

The Incipio Wallet Folio case is exactly what it sounds like, a phone case with slots. It’s more of a simple yet elegant case. It doesn’t shimmer and sparkle, but it’s not plastic and bright either. The black color succeeds in giving your phone the sophisticated wallet look. The outside is the black leather all around with a black band to match. Overall pretty simplistic. With the flap on you won’t be able to tell what kind of phone it is.

Design and Build

The Incipio Wallet Folio case is made of vegan leather. It’s available in many colors (I have the black case). It has a case within the wallet case. Yes, there is a hard-shell thinner (plextonium) case that snaps into the base of the wallet case.

Experience

I use the wallet case on busy days with meeting. It’s a pretty case, I don’t want to use it every day and dull it out. It’s hard not to though, because walking around the office and jumping around from meeting to meeting you do want your ID, metrocard, and a credit card on hand. If you’ve seen my bag, you’ll know how handy it is to have my metro card where my phone is.

What’s great about the Watson Wallet case is that the front cover doesn’t have hinges, so it flip flaps all the way back. It goes so far back that the back flap goes more than mid Thats great for one handed use. It may get a little tricky when taking pictures with the rear camera though. The front cover will just flap around and hang around. Taking a selfie may be a bit harder with the flap just hanging to the side.

Believe it or not, the Watson Wallet Folio case isn’t so thick. But when I don’t really need the front cover, I just snap the hardshell case off. You will have minor protection and slightly better grip. But it’s nice to be able to go back and forth. I suggest removing the wallet part of the case when out and about, to keep the leather pretty.
