The day is finally here and we got pretty much what we expected and even a little bit more. Samsung officially announced their next flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S 5.
They didn’t stop there. They gave more details on the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches and even introduced the Samsung Gear Fit. Yeah it’s a lot to take in. Here’s some details on the devices.

The Galaxy S 5 doesn’t have too many upgrades. The most notable upgrades are the faster processor, longer battery life, it’s now water-resistant and dust proof. It also charges through a USB 3.0 port and has a fingerprint scanner to measure heart-rate along with a few other health options.

The Galaxy S5 supports the fifth generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac and 2X2 MIMO, and supporting the large number of LTE frequency with LTE Category 4 standard.
The Galaxy S5 is IP67 dust and water resistant. It also offers a Finger Scanner, providing a secure,
biometric screen locking feature and a seamless and safe mobile payment experience to consumers. The Ultra Power Saving Mode turns the display to black and white, and shuts down all unnecessary features to minimize the battery consumption.

Samsung Gear Fit Specs
Samsung’s Gear Fit was the product that (I feel) garnered the most praise and shock at Unpacked. While many were suspecting the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches, the fitness tracker band on its own wasn’t really talked about. The Gear Fit seemed to have all of the features many want in a fitness tracker. The interface was pretty smooth and you can change the straps on the Gear Fit. More from the press release below:
